Quick intro - About my journey of switching from a smartphone to a dumb phone and some other issues to give you some insight on

We all believe we live in a world of freedom—freedom to do whatever comes to our mind and anything that can make us feel happy, satisfied, and complete. Just like it's said, as we began earning more, the needs kept increasing, and the standard of living became more luxurious. But little did we notice that the materialistic possessions in the world exist as a means to reduce the wealth of men. That doesn't mean you have to sleep on the floor and live in a hut (well, that would be mentally peaceful anyway). But you can still choose to live an essentialistic lifestyle. What is an essentialistic life? A life that gives you fulfillment with the bare minimum of things that pretty much help you get done with your daily chores. Anyway, the basic thing I wanted to address is smart mobile phones.

A peaceful hut out of nowhere

I had a smartphone since I was a teenager and was a big fan of it. Slowly, in my late teens, I noticed the way it kept me on the hook and always using it right from the beginning of the day. I did have headaches and dark circles. There are also multiple studies that talk about this issue in a more biological sense. But the bottom line is that smartphones are just not good or worth it for our mental health. I switched to my new phone recently and am slowly making the transition from my smartphone to my new dumb phone.

The transition has made my life far better than I actually thought it would. It was not a big hassle for me anyway because I used to use my smartphone just to talk to my loved ones and stay connected. But people nowadays have changed the scope of online media as they themselves have put themselves in the position to constantly update their lives on social media through their phones just for the sake of validation, or maybe something that I don't understand. To be honest, I've been there as well, but the reason I used to do it was just for the sake of using social media and blending in with the crowd.

I slowly lost interest and understood the motives that the current generation of people have behind their actions on social media. It makes me bother a bit, but anyway, after the new phone emerged, the only hassle I face is when I'm texting my loved one; it's usually hard at times to type the message (this happens only in cases where I'm not in a position to talk). But for most of the cases, I'll be able to call directly and, in fact, speak to them, which is far more convenient and easy. The battery on the phone lasts for 4-5 days. It's not a spy device that always tracks my movements; I don't have to worry about it getting lost. There are no social media as well. The most dangerous thing about social media these days is that there is a large population of woke people, and explicit content is easily accessible. Through which mass propaganda ideologies are being pushed into our heads. Have you ever wondered why censorship doesn't work on these explicit content creators? I'd like to include a quote once given by a wise man: "In order to destroy a nation peacefully, make adultery or nudity common in the younger generation." Now, in order to stop us from actually thinking and innovating, the manipulators have introduced some of the finest entertainment like smartphones, social media, porn, sports events, OTTs, and many more.

I recommend you read the book COVID-19: The Great Reset by Klaus Schwab, which talks about how the world is going to change soon into a completely new world (dystopian). The world can be manipulated in three major ways:

1. food,

2. money

3. climate.

Book written by Klaus Schwab ( Chairman of WEF)

We can already see things slowly happening with all the propaganda about climate change, synthetic lab meat, and the economic reset that's about to come. There will be digital currencies that can be traced and used to understand consumer behavior, a high level of control over farming, and lockdowns in the name of climate change.

There won't be much freedom of choice left in the near future, so I suggest taking a step towards independence now while there's still time. You'll never go wrong by choosing independence.

But anyway, the end note I wanted to give was about the mobile phone I'm using right now. It's a Nokia flip phone. It has basic features like calling, messaging, and games. I try to use my smartphone as little as possible. Right now, my smartphone functions as a music player when I'm driving, for texting and navigation, and rarely for video calls. The downside to using it for navigation is that the proprietary software keeps tracking my location, so I will have to switch to other means soon. Soon I'll be out of this spying device called the smartphone. Hope you do too.
